Dice

An essence of my childhood memory. In China, we used to fold paper into dices creating a version of “truth or dare.” And over many years, our desks would be filled with used dices that consists of a variety of dares. We would refold them to the back and use it to create more dares. As I look back on those moments, I recreated the game and played with my friends. But this time, something else caught my eye—the shapes after dissembling has a unique allure. Through cutting and reassembling, I began to see these orderly shapes can be placed in orientations that create a sense of logic through randomizations. By arranging them with a variety of techniques, altitude, wooden supports, I found beauty in its shape.
